North Baltimore County neighbors supporting our community´s children
A group of caring neighbors started My Neighbors Foundation (MNF) in 2005 as a way of helping Hereford Zone schoolchildren in challenging circumstances buy school supplies, attend summer camp or take a special field trip. Living in this beautiful community, we can be blind to the needs of children who feel invisible or embarrassed because they cannot engage in what so many of their classmates take for granted. Our children need to know they are valued and supported.
We work with school teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify children (qualified primarily by current participation in the free and reduced lunch program (FARM) or by meeting other financial criteria) who would keep their needs to themselves and, consequently, be deprived of opportunity. MNF trustees are your neighbors and our Advisory Board is comprised of school representatives intimately acquainted with local education. We raise money in the Hereford Zone, and spend it in the Hereford Zone for the benefit of our children.
We are not affiliated with the Baltimore County School System.
